Phil’s character design is certainly the funniest in the movie. Perhaps the best aspect of him is that he is entirely made up of different shades of red, telling the viewers just how angry he is right away. Given that we see he is a match for even Hades in regards to fury, the colors for him were chosen well.

    Another insight we get into just how angry he can get, is how similar he looks to another Disney character. When compared with Grumpy from Snow White, the resemblance is undeniable. They share height, expression, stature, eyebrows, and even have similar noses. In noticing how similar the two are, it is easy to see that Phil would be just as grumpy as Grumpy himself.
